Carmel Spring

I went to Carmel to see Brian Blood demo. I was able to paint a couple of hours before, on of the most beautiful warm days ever!

One of my favorite places to paint. Its amazing, while I paint, many people I know in the area jog by. My waistline grows and they firm up. Oh well, I would rather paint!

Santa Barbara Art Show

For the last couple of years it has been hard on the local artists who show at this event, lot of drop outs. I began a couple of months ago and felt like things were turning around. Now all of a sudden lots of new artists have joined, I guess I will have to arm wrestle my buddies for a space!
I try to paint while I am at the show and time flies!

Nothing like twice in a day

Second Blog today. These are my paintings I started in Lone Pine. Yes I know , in plein air a painting is usually completed. Six in a couple of days is pushing it in my opinion. Especially when there is hiking, exploring, eating and drinking going on! I have finished them and will post tomorrow.

Memorial day weekend

Art Along the Creek exhibit was a great success! Our SCAPE art show along Mission Creek raised over $23,000. for creek restoration and Phoenix of Santa Barbara. I will get some photos posted this week of all our award winners. A special thank you to all of those people who make a difference in our world.
