My haunted house. I bought this for my 28 year old daughter Rose. Turns out this is a rare German doll house circa 1900. Furnishing it could cost more than redoing a real home!

Painting a Day

Yes I did promise to do a painting a day! Not always possible! But I really try, even when I don't want to. At least I do something like a small color study. Many of our sunsets are so wonderful how they turn the foothills shades of purples. Very hard to capture in just a few fleeting minutes!
So here a a couple of quickies.

Clyde Aspevig

Friday and Saturday I was lucky to go to Clyde's demo and talk. What a great man. I wanted to cement what he had shared, so I did my homework.

Indian Summer

And this is a Indian Summer Monday morning. One can see over 20 miles to Santa Cruz Island. Each canyon is defined.

Foggy Days

One day we are in the mist then the next we can see all the way to the islands. This is the misty Sunday.

A wonderful pastel teacher, Deborah Breeden, brought her class up to the ranch. I was lucky enough to set up near her and try my hand at pastels!
I belive this is called an Echiveria Cacti

Ok I am an honest person! perhaps a painting a day of each view from my ranch is a bit lofty. Now that I have gone back to work and trying to get around with a broken leg, not much time for a master piece each day!! haha , but I always keep my promises, so at least I do a drawing or exercise each day, even a quick still life while dinner cooks. These Avos were part of the menu!

As many of you who know me will agree I don't sit still for a moment. Since I broke my leg and could'nt go to work. I have decided to do a 360 o. I will do a painting each day of the year (-5) of each degree of views from my home. This blog will be my Diary!
